To: The members of The Church of God in Georgia:

As you have most likely heard, Christian Activist, and founder of “Turning Point USA” Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on Wednesday of this week, while holding a question/answer session, at a college campus in Utah. Mr. Kirk, openly professed to be a Christian, and was a very strong advocate for Christian and family values. I’m not writing this with any politiical motivation, or making any suggestions as to why this young man was killed. I only know, that a life has been tragically taken. I know there have been many people killed through the years, for their stand against certain things, but I belive this is vastly different. We are living in the last days, and the division that is being seen across our nation, should wake us to the fact, that Jesus is really coming soon! Matthew chapter ten warns us that this hatred will be a sign of the last days. It should be alarming to us as Christians, and as Church members, how many people are happy to voice their approval, that a man has been killed!

The president of the United States, along with many of our leaders, have called for prayer for our nation. Whether you agree or disagree with their political views is irrelevant: The Church of God, in The United States, should lead the way in praying for our nation, and our world.
